On Thursday 25th April 2019, we staged a spectacular fashion show raising over £37,000 for Breast Cancer Haven, Wessex – the Titchfield – based charity that provides specialist support to anyone affected by breast cancer.
Over 250 customers, VIPs and celebrities attended the prestigious event which was generously hosted by Steve and Linda Garnett at their home, Bighton House, Bighton near Alresford. Guests enjoyed an English sparkling wine reception kindly sponsored by local vineyard, Louis Pommery before being treated to a contemporary dance duet performed by the renowned Company Wayne McGregor introduced by BBC South Today presenter, Sally Taylor. The event was compered by ITV’s Alastair Stewart with professional models walking the runway showcasing the latest Spring/ Summer 19 collections from designers such as Temperley London, Amanda Wakeley, Roksanda, Emilia Wickstead, Paul Smith, Paule Ka and Diane Von Furstenburg with hats by Philip Treacy and Vivien Sheriff.
The headline sponsor for the event was the fine building firm, RW Armstrongs. There was a high value raffle and an entertaining live auction by Henry McCowen of BCM Rural Property Specialists who managed to sell some incredible ‘Money Can’t Buy’ lots generating over £16,000 alone for the charity.
A number of key local sponsors contributed to the success of the night such as Guy Kremer and Jonny Engstrom who styled the models’ hair, Vaughan Design, McKenna & Co antique jewellery, Rathbones, BCM Rural Property Specialists, Twilight Trees, Creative Catering, Greenhill Events and make up artist, Julie West and Lisa Griffiths to name but a few.
